ADR and the Transport of Dangerous Goods
The transport of chemicals requires specific competence and approval. Several of Aquatiq’s products are classified as dangerous goods (ADR) and must therefore be handled and transported by approved carriers to ensure the safety of people, the environment and property.
Safe handling and transport of chemicals
Several of Aquatiq’s products are classified as dangerous goods (ADR). This means they contain chemical components that require special handling during transport to ensure the safety of people, the environment and property.
According to the ADR regulations, specific requirements apply to vehicles, packaging, labelling and driver competence. These measures are in place to ensure that the transport of chemicals is carried out safely and in compliance with applicable legislation.
Transport carried out by approved carriers
Aquatiq uses only ADR-approved carriers for the transport of dangerous goods. Our logistics partners are certified and equipped to handle chemical products in accordance with current regulations.
This means that:
- All deliveries of ADR-classified products are shipped via approved carriers
- Vehicles and packaging meet all requirements for labelling and securing the goods
- Drivers hold valid ADR certification and are trained to handle chemical products safely and respond to potential incidents
Collection from warehouse is not permitted
For safety and regulatory reasons, customers are not permitted to collect dangerous goods from our warehouses. All ADR-classified products must be transported by carriers with valid ADR approval.
This requirement applies regardless of quantity or packaging type.
Why this is necessary
The transport of chemicals can pose serious risks if not handled correctly. ADR-certified drivers have the necessary knowledge to load, secure and label the goods properly, as well as to act appropriately in the event of a spill or other incident.
These regulations are designed to protect people, the environment and infrastructure – and form an integral part of Aquatiq’s commitment to safe and sustainable chemical management.
