This course is the first level in our HACCP training program. It is suitable for anyone working in food-related businesses who has already received basic training in hygiene and food safety. The course serves as an introduction to the HACCP methodology.
The course is held over 2 days, with 4-hour sessions from 08:30 to 12:30 each day.
This course includes the option to take Aquatiq’s Basic HACCP Exam. The exam is voluntary and costs NOK 1,000.

Objectives
You will:
- Understand what is meant by the term prerequisites and their importance
- Gain increased understanding of how to improve the prerequisites in your own business
- Understand what is meant by the term food safety hazards
- Gain greater awareness and knowledge of the food safety hazards in your own business
- Become familiar with the HACCP methodology and the 7 HACCP principles
- Increase awareness and knowledge of important and critical control measures in your own business
Content
Theory and exercises related to the following topics:
- Systematization of food safety work
- Prerequisites
- Food safety hazards
- Step-by-step HACCP methodology
Target Group
The introductory course is general and suitable for all businesses in the food industry.
The course is particularly well suited for:
- Personnel who are not core members of the HACCP team (core members require more extensive HACCP training)
- Staff in smaller businesses and employees who need an overview of HACCP
- Personnel who want or need a refresher
Refresher training is now a requirement in most recognized food safety standards.
Exam
All participants who complete the course (attend both days) will receive a course certificate. In addition, we offer Aquatiq’s Basic HACCP Exam, which participants can complete digitally. This is an optional extra for our course participants, designed to demonstrate understanding of HACCP and confirm learning outcomes.
