aquatiq | History: Background and Reasons

Charles Lester, the founder and CEO of aquatiq | The smoke free cigarette experience, was a smoker for over twenty years, who at age 36 was beginning to experience the physical signs of lung deterioration. From his experience in watching his father die from the ravages of emphysema, he recognized the first signs as what they were: a preamble to torturous death. However, like Charles' father before him, he could not--no matter how hard he tried--make any significant progress towards his goal of freeing himself from cigarettes, and certain death.

Then one day when traveling to Valdosta, GA to visit his mother--who suffers from cancer, related to smoking--he ventured into a Petro Gas station and rest stop. He approached the counter to prepay for his gas, and noticed a sign that read "electronic cigarettes." He read further, and was convinced that this modern technological development just might work for him; he was impressed that the device produced vapor with nicotine, but no smoke, tar, or carcinogens.

Without hesitation, Charles bought the Njoy - NPro electronic cigarette starter kit, and a pack of five menthol cartridges. He tossed his pack of Newport cigarettes into the garbage can, on the way out the door, and never looked back. That was in February of 2009.

At the time, Charles was thrilled by his new device. Although he paid over $100 for the starter kit, and $25 for the pack of five cartridges, he felt great that he was saving his life. Within a week of quitting cigarettes--by switching to this electronic alternative--he was beginning to cough up globs of thick brown mucous, and breathing better. By the end of week three, Charles noticed that his singing voice was beginning to return, and that he could walk briskly up the stairs in his home. Of course, there were many more tangible improvements in the quality of Charles' life such as no fear of women saying, "You smell like you smoke; you don't, do you?" Charles no longer has to clean the residue of ashes from within his car; he no longer wakes up in the morning with a disgusting taste in his mouth; he no longer feels self conscious about his breath in public. Not only was his life being prolonged, his life was being vastly improved; without pain, without suffering, and without the agony caused by withdrawal. Charles, like over 40 million other Americans, is physically addicted to nicotine, and psychologically addicted to the ritual of smoking, which has been a part of his life for over 20 years.

However, there are things about Njoy that Charles isn't happy with. Charles researched Njoy and others such as Smoking Everywhere, and blu Electronic Cigarettes, and began to understand how grossly overpriced their products are, especially, when compared to superior technologies that are being developed and released. The cartridges that Charles paid $5 each for, could be refilled for small amounts of pocket change, and newer more advanced electronic cigarettes are available, for almost half of what he paid for his NPro; and, these devices produce much more vapor, a true "throat hit"--like combustion cigarettes--and have batteries and accessories, that make it much easier for him to enjoy his smoking experience for longer periods of time between recharging.

At about the time Charles received his first prototype of what would later become the aquatiq | blaq, and Personal Charger Case, he learned of the FDA's ruling on electronic cigarettes, which threatens to make them unavailable to him, forcing him to become a criminal, or return to cigarettes and CERTAIN death.

Charles has had enough.

So far, you as the reader, have read the background and circumstances, which give cause, to that which will change our nation, and ultimately the world. aquatiq | The smoke free cigarette experience was conceived as a platform for reform. It is our intention to make money, and to bring to bear upon a tyrannical government, a revolutionary concept that has been lost: Freedom. Adult citizens are adults. Bureaucrats in Washington D.C.--or of the local variety--may have children, but only the children that they conceive, adopt, and care for. However, once those children reach maturity, they become adults, and can no longer be considered the virtual property of their parents. Charles Lester intends to reinvigorate within the American population a principled demand for individual rights: The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Not the slogan version, but the REAL VERSION!

Washington, through its proxy agent the FDA, is in the process of forcing the American people to purchase nicotine from providers that have given to the world, the gift of addiction and death. As always, they do this under the guise that it is in "the best interest" of the citizens, that these measures be taken. However, under this nasty, evil, and sinister guise, lies the real purpose, which is to ensure R.J. Reynolds, Phillip Morris, Lorillard and others, their streams of profit, and for the Fed to continue being able to take its cut off the top!

Essentially, what the Fed is saying, is that Americans must immediately stop exercising their right to their lives, and their ability to choose for themselves, that which they deem most beneficial. That Americans be forced to resume paying their hard earned money to the Federal Government, and to the corporations responsible for their addiction in the first place. What do those, now forced to smoke cigarettes again, get out of all this? Why, death; silly. Thanks FDA!

What must occur, is a systematic dismantling of all government interference into the lives of its citizens. This is sickening. Over twenty-seven thousand American lives perished during the American Revolution, which supposedly paid the price, for what we are now forced to do again. This issue is only one of many examples of how the Fed has crept into our personal lives, and governs our personal choices. Electronic cigarettes and their potential ban, are only one of many examples of the principle behind what Orwell termed, "Big Brother;" an affront to every American alive today, and to those being born into a country where they are reduced to chattel.

Our model for principled change in America is in perfect harmony with the spirit of the American Revolution, and principles of liberty, that were so eloquently articulated within the United States Constitution. As such, we at aquatiq | The smoke free cigarette experience are capitalists, and believe that they best approach to anything involving human cooperation, is to produce and/or provide values that enhance our lives. Our goal, is to sell as many electronic cigarettes as we can, in order to:

  1. Educate the population about the benefits and harmless nature of electronic cigarettes
  2. Amass the wealth necessary, in order to fight the imminent legal battles against any proposed legislation or mandates, that further threaten our already dwindling liberty
  3. Promote the principles of freedom, and the righteous morality of lassiez faire capitalism
  4. To expose the bastardization of the United States Constitution, and to expose the tyrannical nature of government regulation over ANY part of our society, where neither force nor fraud are involved
  5. To expose the nature of our government's protection racket, and how it is no different--though hypocritically more dishonest--than those conducted by other criminal enterprises such as the Maffia
  6. To reveal how the government itself, creates the economic conditions which fuel criminal organizations in their ability to amass immense wealth, enabling them to extort innocent citizens and corrupt entire police departments
  7. To generate within the average American citizen, a principled demand for the complete separation of state and economics
  8. To fight government regulations to the Supreme Court--if necessary--that impede, infringe upon, deny, abridge, deprive, minimize, dilute, or otherwise cause harm to, by rendering impotent, the individual rights of any of the citizens of this country
  9. To end all barriers to entry within any market, to the citizens of this country, which would serve to foster and enhance the economy, without further theft or coercion by the government. Hands off!
  10. To organize electronic cigarette providers first, then all industries, all professions, all employers, all workers, and all unemployed, towards a common goal: the removal of the government's foot off of our necks. In short, it is in every citizen's immediate interest that these steps be taken, to assist where possible, and to make these objectives their own. Mark our words; history will demonstrate, that it would have been in the best interest of this veiled dictatorship, created by "special interests" and elected officials, if they had not decided to unwittingly endanger the life of Charles E. Lester, II, by their gross disregard for human life in general. His statement to his fellow citizens, to this wicked government, and to the world is: This life is mine; hands off!

"Do not separate text from historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government.

I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations."
James Madison

"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force."
Ayn Rand
